Sean Sperte has done a fantastic job critiquing Taptivate’s new iPhone app, Friends; a poor example of a contact manager. If – like me – you were looking forward to “Friends” making it’s way to your iPhone homescreen, Sean’s entry nails the app’s faults right on the head.

Update: Taptivate has released a video revealing The Design Evolution of Friends. I am a big fan of some of their previous concepts and design variations; it is disappointing to see a beautiful app backfire, and fail at realizing it’s own potential.
