Paid Apps = Horrible Deal for Advertisers »

My guess is that publishers are waiting for the gameplan of a subscription model. If Wired charged less than $10 per year (also offering it at $4 per issue), I’m sure they’d have a ton of new readers. Not just casual readers, but readers who will await the issue of content they’ve paid for.

Making one purchase is easy. Buying one item – twelve times – hurts.
